Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Landscaping Lead Hand to assist in managing our landscaping crew and ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a passion for landscaping, and have good knowledge of perennials, shrubs and trees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Foreman in supervising daily operations and crew activities.
• Lead and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
• Train new crew members in landscaping techniques and safety protocols.
• Monitor equipment and materials to ensure proper usage and maintenance.
• Communicate with clients and provide updates on project progress.
• Assist in planning and organizing project schedules.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Address any issues that arise on-site and report to the Foreman.
• Any additional duties set out by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, relevant experience in landscaping preferred.
• Proven experience in a landscaping role, with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of landscaping practices, tools, and plant care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract.
• Reliable transportation. (Not on bus route)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 80Lbs) and perform repeatable physically demanding tasks.
• Capability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.

Hours of Work:

This position is Seasonal, full time, and will be 5 days a week. Monday to Friday with minimal Saturdays and no Sundays.

Compensation:

The pay rate based on experience. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times regular pay after 44 hours per week.
