Job Title: Delivery Driver

Department: Retail

Reporting To: General Manager

Job Purpose: The position will be responsible for delivering various orders of plant products and dry goods to customers who have purchased them either in the store or online and have requested the delivery option that we provide

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Working with the team to assemble a delivery route that is both practical and efficient 
2. Load delivery truck with orders in conjunction with the route
3. Safely and efficiently deliver orders to customers
4. Contact customers to let them know their delivery time and when you have arrived
5. Maintaining a safe distance from customers while following any instructions they may have regarding the delivery of their orders
6. Though the driver will be primarily doing deliveries, they will be required to help out in other areas at Parkway if they are needed

The Delivery Driver will be required to work under the direction of management, however they will also have to work under their own initiative as well. Communication with various internal departments and customers is key to being successful in this position. This job will also require a tolerance to heat due to the greenhouse setting as well as being required to work primarily outdoors.

Skills and Requirements

1. Ability to lift at least 50lbs

2. A ‘G’ class license, be at least 25 years of age, and have a clean driving record

3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow direction as well as work with minimal supervision

4. Ability to work effectively as a member of a friendly, ever-growing team

5. Demonstrated reliable attitude, honesty, and integrity

6. Previous or similar experience an asset but not mandatory

Hours of Work

This position is Full time, runs from April-August, and will be 5 days a week. Shifts will run on an alternating basis so weekends may be a possibility.
